NACA will Hold 2016 Annual Election and Fundraising for the Guo Family

On Saturday, June 18, 2016, the National Association of Chinese Americans (“NACA”) will hold its 2016 annual meeting to elect its Board of Directors for the 2016 – 2017 term. All of NACA’s members and friends are encouraged to join the meeting.

Please see below for the details of the annual meeting:

Date: June 18, 2016, Saturday

Time: 11 a.m.

Venue: Super Grand Buffet, 1630 Pleasant Hill Road, Suite 300, Duluth, GA

30096

An important part of the meeting is to raise fund for Mr. Michael Guo and his family. Michael Guo, the founder of www.atlanta168.com, and his wife and daughter

were involved in a very bad car accident when visiting New Zealand on April 18, 2016. The daughter was killed in the accident. Mr. and Ms. Guo were severely injured and are still in critical condition. Every aspect of this tragic accident is costly. Not only financially; but mentally and emotionally. Their healing process will be long and complicated. NACA is raising fund to support this family in their unfortunate and unforeseeable situation. Established in 1980, NACA strives to achieve its mission of “bridging cultures, building leaders, and benefiting communities” by organizing and sponsoring activities that promote cultural, educational, scientific and business relations and exchanges between U.S. and China. It also encourages Chinese-Americans to participate in the American political process while preserving their Chinese heritage in the American culture.
