NACA Celebrates Opening of China Hubei Enterprises (American) Marketing Center

On December 14, 2009, NACA hosted a gathering of dignitaries from Hubei province and the U.S. state of Georgia to celebrate the opening of Chinamex/China Hubei Enterprise (American) Marketing Center. The event marked the culmination of two years of cooperation and was attended by government and business leaders from both communities. NACA started working with Wuhan, the Capital City of Hubei Province, five years ago and are very happy with the opening of the center.

NACA President Patrick Ko and Chinamex Vice Chair Ai Gang welcomed the attendees, remarking upon NACA’s continued mission of “building strong bridges and reaching out.” Ken Steward, Commissioner of the GA Department of Economic Development, congratulated Chinamex on its choice of Atlanta for the site of the new enterprise. Atlanta City Councilman, Kwanza Hall, and Hans Gant, Senior Vice President of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, welcomed Chinamex to the community. Yuan Yajie, Deputy Commissioner of the Hubei Province Department of Commerce, expressed his anticipation of a long and fruitful relationship.

The evening, sponsored by Atlanta firm Troutman Sanders, was held at Canton House Restaurant in Chamblee.

The new enterprise is expected to be an initial step to increased business partnerships between Hubei Province and Atlanta, who beat out San Francisco in Chinamex’s search for a U.S. headquarters.
