China Earthquake Relief Fundraising

Dear friends:

As you have probably heard, a massive earthquake on May 12 has killed over 14,000 people in China while over 30,000 people are still missing.

This earthquake is even more severe than the Tangshan earthquake in 1976, which killed over 200,000 people. Thousands of people have been left homeless, and these individuals and their communities can use any relief that their global friends can provide.

NACA has always been passionate about helping others, and in times of need, the calling is even more salient. This is one of those times. In an effort to help our global friends, we kindly ask for your support as we come together and help raise funds for these individuals. Any contribution, small or large, will be greatly appreciated and will go directly to aid those in need.

NACA will match the amount donated by its members, in addition to making a donation on behalf of the organization.

NACA is hosting its annual member meeting at Sydney’s Buffet on May 24th at 11am and we ask our members and friends to make donations to the relief effort at such time. Lunch will be provided as a token of our appreciation for your support.

If you cannot attend the meeting, you can send your donations by check, payable to “National Association of Chinese-Americans,” to 5483 Redbark Way, Atlanta, GA 30338. Please indicate that the donation is for the “China Earthquake Relief Donation.” 100% of the donation will go to the relief fund. If you have any questions, please contact Lani Wong at (770)394-6542.

We have also set up an account for donations at Century Security Bank. If you have any questions about this account, please contact Danny Pian or Rhane Song (both speak Chinese and English) at (770) 813-4800.

Together, let’s show we care! Together, let’s make an impact!

With our sincere appreciation,

The NACA Board
