Beijing Wushu Troupe Demonstrate Traditional and Modern Martial Arts

The Association of Chinese Professionals hosted a Martial Arts troupe from Beijing on the evening of August 19th. The troupe, consisting of some of the best Wushu athletes from China, have won national and world title in the past ten years. Some of the demonstrations featured during the evening included Chang Quan (fist-boxing), Nan Quan, Taichi and Sanda (free sparring).

The demonstrations showcased both traditional and modern martial arts reflecting the spirit of harmony and health. The troupe’s stop here in Atlanta is the third show for their tour that it being held to “promot friendship and peace between China and the U.S. The troupe continued their tour with demonstrations being held in Washington D.C. and the General Assembly Hall of the United Nations in New York.

This event took place at Perimeter Church on Medlock Bridge Road in Duluth.
