Charlene Fang, a native of Taiwan, immigrated to the United States with two kids in 1990. A leader in the Asian banking industry, She has served for 15 years as a relationship officer with Summit National Bank on Buford Hwy. At 2006 ,she was recruited to open a new TouchMark National Bank as Senior Vice President and business development officer.
She has devoted most of my time giving back to the community after kids grow up. She was a past president of the Chinese American
Lions Club and also served as Chinese American Leo Club, a youth service group’s Adviser for over 15 years. The second female president in Chinese history to serve the Hip Sing Association of Atlanta, a 150- year-old Traditional Chinese Association. A founding member of the Taiwanese American Women’s Association and the Chamblee Chamber of Commerce. A former board member of Leadership DeKalb. The Past President of North Decatur Lions Club and Zone 2 Chair for Lions Club District 18-I.
She received International Lions Club Hall Of Fame for Outstanding Service and Dedication on March 5th, 2011. In 2020, she joined as a board member and Development Chair at Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation.
She currently serves as Board member of the DeKalb County Property Assessors since 2006 and is currently the new President of Friends of Doraville Library.
In 2016, I was nominated and the recipient of the “25 Most Influential Asian Americans in Georgia Award” from the Georgia Asian Times as well as the “Bill Hardman Jr. Award” from Discover DeKalb. She’s also the recipient of numerous awards including, Hidden Figures Award, Her Story Award/Woman of Character, Courage, and Commitment, and Women’s History Award.
