NACA Promotes Hong Kong as a Business Gateway to Asia

Atlanta, GA, Feb. 2nd, 2009, The National Association of Chinese-Americans (NACA) co-sponsored a business seminar with the Metro-Atlanta Chamber of Commerce to promote Hong Kong as a business gateway to Asia.

Mr Louis Ho of the Hong Kong Development Council spoke of Hong Kong as a platform for business success with many examples of western corporations entering the Asia market by first establishing an operation in Hong Kong, Mr. Henry Yu, Managing Director of Standard Chartered Bank, Shanghai, and past President of NACA, spoke of Hong Kong’s role in a growing Chinese economy. Mr. William R. Ramsey, partner of Troutman Sanders, LLP, spoke of its experience of opening a law office in 1996 and its expansion into China. Mr. Rick Niu, Executive VP of ING, spoke of Hong Kong as a global center of opportunity. Hong Kong has transformed itself from a production center to a global service powerhouse with expertise in finance, supply chain management and innovation engineering for the world market.
