2008 Georgia Poineer Women

Atlanta, GA March 11, 2008 – NACA Chair Lani Wong was honored as one of the 2008 Pioneer Women of Georgia by the National Organization of Black Elected Legislative Women. The well attended ceremony was held in the Ballroom of the Twelve Hotel, Atlantic Station, and Atlanta. Georgia Pioneer Women are individuals who have made significant contributions to the status of women in the community / political process of Georgia.The 2008 honorees were: NACA Chair Lani Wong, first lady Mary Purdue, chief justice Leah Sears, Mayor Shirley Franklin, TV Anchor Monica Pearson, Honorable Geraldine Ferraro, Honorable Xernona Clayton, Honorable Valerie Richardson Jackson, Honorable Martha Ezzard, Honorable M Lopez Williams, Honorable Emma Darnell, Honorable M Alexis Scott, and Honorable Georganna T SinkfieldNobel / Women is an organization of elected black women with a national objective of developing and promoting women into the political process across all of the United States.
