Following EMBA graduation, Dr. Paula Wang has focused on women’s education and achievements by taking on two sets of responsibilities. She has joined the management team of Wesleyan College, the world’s first women’s college and where the Chinese Soong Sisters received their education.
Before leading her family jewelry manufacturing business in China, Dr. Wang held senior executive positions at a British consulting firm and information technology companies including UFIDA, China’s largest management software provider. She started her career in early 1990s as a journalist and worked her way up to Chief of News Department for leading Chinese business newspapers and news agency. She was later awarded a Doctoral Degree of Law in 1998 by the School of Journalism and Communications, Renmin University of China. She earned Master’s degree by completing Executive MBA program at Georgia State University.
Paula also contributes significantly by volunteering in a variety of areas including an official course reviewer at Gemological Institute of America, art appreciation committee member at the Capital Club, the foremost private business club in China, member of the board of directors for GSU EMBA Alumni Club. Paula has been married with two adorable young kids. Her husband, Dr. Larry X. WU, is co-founder and CEO of United China Fund, a private Chinese fund that invests in US business growth.
