NACA Launches its 2013 Year-Long Mentoring Program for Young Asian-Americans
Striving to “build leaders,” the National Association of Chinese-Americans is committed to helping Asian-Americans succeed in their careers and accelerate their professional growth in Corporate America, firms, government agencies, and community organizations. With this goal in mind, NACA formally launched its mentoring program in 2013 to help young Asian-American professionals acquire essential skills, build social networks and integrate into mainstream American culture as they launch their professional careers in the U.S. A year-long initiative, this program includes one-on-one mentoring sessions, group sessions, and periodic networking sessions for both mentors and mentees. Each mentee is paired with a carefully selected mentor. Mentors generally consist of middle to senior level managers, executives or leaders from major corporations and firms with diverse disciplines including marketing, banking, finance, project management, product development, and general management.
