NACA hosted its very first U.S-China Business Conference on Monday, November 1, 2010.  The conference took place in the heart of Buckhead at the Ritz-Carlton hotel, hosting over 200 attendees and 25 guest speakers.  The day began with a warm welcoming from NACA President Christina Liao and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed.

With continued economic growth in China and the vast business opportunities it provides to countries worldwide, this year’s conference served to provide detailed and valuable insight on doing business in China.   From the personal experiences and expertise of guest speakers hailing from both the U.S. and China, the succession of panels throughout the day consisted of insightful presentations, ending with discussions to field questions from the audience.

The conference showcased five topics this year:

1) China’s Current Economic Outlook

2) Executive Forum – China Strategy

3) Building Business in China

4) World’s Factory to World’s Market

5) Green Energy

Some of the panel speakers included Clyde C. Tuggle, Senior Vice President of The Coca-Cola Company; Ken Cornelius, President and CEO of Siemens One; Bingjin Xu, President of the China-Europe Association for Technical & Economic Cooperation; Andrew MacInnes, Managing Director, Head of Equity Capital Markets, Head of Asia Investment Banking, Oppenheimer & Co. Inc.; Jack Wen, President of GE Energy China and Vice President of GE Energy; Ed Cunningham, Managing Partner of U.S. Renewable Energy Group; and Joseph A.
