NACA & Chinamex Co-host Welcoming Banquet for Hubei Enterprises Marketing Center

NACA joined Chinamex in hosting a banquet to celebrate the Atlanta opening of the China Hubei Enterprises Marketing Center.  Both the banquet and ribbon-cutting were held Monday, December 14.

NACA members, local business and government leaders, and guests from China attended the reception and dinner held at the Canton House Restaurant.  The banquet was a great means to welcome our Chinese visitors to Atlanta and the reception provided them an opportunity to meet local members of the community.  More than 130 people joined the celebration.

Lisa Wallace, NACA Senior Vice President served as Master of Ceremonies and Patrick Ko, NACA President, opened the program with the welcoming comments.

Brief remarks were also provided by:

Ai Gang, Vice-Chair of Chinamex

Ken Steward, Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development

Kwanza Hall, Atlanta City CouncilmanEva Galambos, Mayor, City of Sandy Spring

Hans Gant, Senior Vice-President - Metro-Atlanta Chamber of Commerce

Yuan Yajie, Deputy Commissioner, Hubei Province Department of Commerce

Chinamex will operate the center, located at Atlantic Station, on behalf of the Hubei provincial government.  It will serve as a showroom and portal for Chinese companies that want to expand business into the western hemisphere, with Atlanta serving in that capacity as the hub for all the Americas.  The showroom, located at Atlantic Station, initially will display the products of 30 companies but that number is expected to grow to more than 100 as economic conditions strengthen.
