Emory University's Halle Institute presents a lecture by Dr. John Jung, Professor Emeritus of Psychology of California State University, on the history and struggles of Chinese-Americans during the early 1900s to mid-20th century.

Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, who is still planning on his first trip to China, is amazed by China's high-speed rail development and Beijing's successful hosting of the 2008 Olympics. With his belief that China is a "country that works well," Reed has included China into his vision of the city with the belief that he can learn a great deal from his counterparts.
